The inaugural episode of “Primary Sources” features a moderated discussion about the war in Ukraine. Presenters are Dr. Henry Antkiewicz, who specializes in Russian history and attended seminars in the former Soviet Union; Dr. Stephen Fritz, well-regarded for his books dissecting the society and military of mid-20th century Germany; and Dr. Michele Crumley, who interned in Russia in the 1990s and has published and presented work on transitioning post-communist economies. Dr. Antkiewicz and Dr. Fritz hold faculty appointments with East Tennessee State University’s Department of History, and Dr. Crumley is with ETSU’s Department of Political Science. Wayne Winkler of the WETS-FM radio station, an NPR affiliate, moderated this discussion.
